Flow meter grounding or earth rings ground the process, reducing noise and removing stray energy that can affect the gauge’s accuracy from the process flow.
Also known as electromagnetic flow meter earthing rings, these rings connect the sensor to the pipe, reducing interference and electrical noise to ensure accurate readings. For inline meters, grounding rings should match the meter size rather than the pipe size. Mac-Weld flow meter grounding rings are sold in pairs and must be installed both upstream and downstream to effectively minimize electrical noise.
